Spotting

Description:

Green tufts of a moss like plant, growing in close contact in clumps of exposed tree root and soil. It looked almost sharp, but was soft to the touch.

Habitat:

The moss like organism was growing on a tree root that was protruding from the soil and blanket of fallen pine leaves and forest debris. It was moist and shaded.
