Koala

Phascolarctos cinereus

Description:

Adorable, gray and white, fuzzy marsupial. This one was rather active as they rest between 16-18 hrs each day. The last image is of a Koala resting.

Habitat:

San Diego Zoo. Koalas spend almost their entire lives in trees and eat Eucalyptus leaves almost exclusively. They are native to Australia.

Notes:

Koala's are considered a vulnerable species and are NOT a bear.
