Rock squirrel

Otospermophilus variegatus

Description:

A medium size squirrel that has shades of grey and brown. They have a marked light-colored ring around their eyes and pointed ears that project well above their heads. Rock squirrels have long, bushy tails with white edges.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Scott M. Matheson Wetlands Preserve in Utah.
