Cepaea Nemoralis

Description:

One of the largest and easiest to identify snails of Western Europe.

Habitat:

Various throughout the United Kingdom, however they have been effected by air pollution and soil acidification in England. They where introduced into Scotland and is therefore quite rare and scattered.

Notes:

This one appears to have had and recovered from some damage to its shell.
