Galah (pink and grey cockatoo or rose-breasted cockatoo)

Eolophus roseicapilla

Description:

Found throughout Australia, it is among the most common of the cockatoos. With its distinctive pink and grey plumage and its bold and loud behaviour, it is a familiar sight in the wild and increasingly in urban areas.

Habitat:

I took this pic in my yard when several Galah dropped down for a feed from the plant pictured. Not sure what it's called, but it's a pest-weed, ground-cover, that has thousands of puffy white blossoms these wild birds love.

Notes:

Beautiful flock birds - there'd be a few thousand around this area today because of permanent fresh-water, a multitude of various seed, &+, this is a vegetable & fruit growing area...
