Thank you Cindy! :)

It looks like a type of Snout nosed weevil but that's not narrowing it down much.

Rangers are chosen by various characteristics. We're a diverse group ranging from nature nerds (like me) to experts in one or more fields. We all have a passion for nature and teaching others about the organisms around us. Of course we are learning ourselves from the rest of the community.

There is more information about how to become a Ranger in the FAQ if you're interested.

I don't know what type of plant it was :(, very common in a field basically in the middle of the woods :)

I just noticed the ID you have isn't found in your area. Do you happen to know the plant it was on?

You're welcome, Tracy! Before Project Noah, I didn't know either :) I love learning on this site!

Hi Tracy, this is a cool looking Weevil! I hope you get an ID for it. I went ahead and removed this spotting from The Hoppers mission since it doesn't apply :)
