Esta hortaliza de verano es una variedad de melon,aunque tambien se la denomina pepino alficoz,cohombro o melon serpiente, que se cultiva en el levante español. Se consume en ensaladas y su sabor es mas suave y dulce que el pepino. This vegetable is a variety of summer melon, but also is called alficoz cucumber, cohombro or snake melon, grown in the Spanish Levant. It is eaten in salads and flavor is milder and sweeter than cucumber.
