Enchanter's Nightshade

Circaea lutetiana

Description:

Small, erect plant. Round, smooth leaves. Tiny white flowers produced at the top of a single stem with only two petals. Fruit bodies round and very hairy.

Habitat:

Bronx Zoo. Growing under some cultivated plants outside of an enclosure.

Notes:

Sorry about the poor quality pictures. Point and shoot was not being cooperative.

This is enchanter's nightshade. It is fairly weedy.
