Spotting

Description:

This creeping animal, hardy thicker than a spaghetti, was found beside a swimming pool in the hot summer sun. Worm or snake? It was very lively, muscular and dry to the touch. We could not identify a head, and wonder whether it had been injured?

Habitat:

beside outdoor swimming pool

Yes I would also venture that it is probably a Gordian or horsehair worm. I am moving it out of reptiles into "other" organisms. I am also ticking the request for help with identification box and removing that request from the common name :-)
