Sure enough, it's a ratsnake. :-) What I did was go through the Organisms and attach my message to anything that had a common name listed. Most spottings of that nature are correct and just need to be completed, but in this case the ID was just a bit off. Thanks, Lisa, for catching that.
Hi there. Since you know the identity of your spotting, please go ahead and edit it and add the scientific name. That will enter it into the database and remove it from the "unidentified" list. Thanks!

How did you ID this as a rat snake. I originally thought it was a cow sucker snake.
