Description:

Large bird which likes to walk and forage among bushes for it's favorite prey of lizards and small snakes. also takes grasshoppers and other big insects. Size is about 40cm. Slow labored flight with short glides. To see it cross ones path is believed to be an auspicious sign in my part of the world.

Spotted on a field near a river.
