Javelina

Peccary latin: pecari tajacu

Description:

Medium sized animal that looks like a pig or boar also called a skunk pig because they smell terrible.

Habitat:

SW Desert AZ Mexico...

Notes:

They travel in packs and protect their young ferociously. They have poor eyesight but good sense of smell. They often wreck havoc in neighborhoods pulling up plants by their roots and chewing the roots for the fluid... Sometimes they just pull apart the plants and leave a big mess! They knock down garbage containers to scavenge for food and don't clean up after themselves!!!! Lol!
