Description:

Although the coloring of the frog in the photo looks more like the similar species "pickerel frog" it is easily differentiated by the shape of the spots. Leopard frogs have round spots while pickerel frogs have more square and darker spots.

Habitat:

Ponds or streams near wooded areas.
