Notes:

Found on a feed bag in our shed. I've never seen a brown mantid before, but upon further reading have found that it is common.

I think this may actually be a Chinese Mantid nymph. You can just see the green edge on the wing buds that haven't fully formed yet. Here is another one that looks like yours:
