Spotting

Habitat:

Natural wetland

Notes:

This caterpillar is living on a lily pad. It appears to have its posterior anchored through a hole in the pad, while keeping most of its body on the surface of the plant. I don't know if it was feeding on another animal's feces, but that's what it seemed like while I observed it. The third image shows that it has moved, and that's because I touched it and lifted the pad to see how it was attached.
