Green anole

Anolis carolinensis

Habitat:

Very common in my neighborhood, built along an intermittent creek. They like to hide in the foliage and will venture onto fences or upper part of the leaves to perform a head-bobbing dance.

Ah, thanks! I am not certain about the pink throat patch, as they tend to skitter away quickly, but they do pump their head up & down. The photographs in the links also look very similar. I have not seen an active change in their coloration, though I have seen slight color variations in individuals.

It looks like an anole. Does it pump up and down on its feet and expand a pink throat patch? does it change to the color of the vegetation? Here is a reference;

Welcome to Project Noah. I am not 100% certain but I suspect your spotting is a Green Anole
