A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Anolis carolinensis
Small, usually green, arboreal lizard. It is often mistaken for a chameleon since it changes colors to match its background. This one has started to change to brown and has a brown tail, which does not seem to change. It is displaying its pink throat patch.
A wildlife habitat by a lake.
It is late afternoon.
