Interesting to know for the future. This one had a problem of some kind. It was going insane. It was on the ground flying in circles and looked like it was trying to stab itself.

Actually it is more of an ovipositor than a stinger. You can handle them. They are very docile, but scare and intimidate people due to their size.

That was one insect as far as I could tell. Very large stinger.
