Crafty photographer. I have the camera on a tripod a few centimeters from the favorite perch. I'm inside the house drinking tea and pressing the wireless shutter release when a hummer lands on its perch.
The key is to use a tripod with remote shutter. If you hand hold with a telephoto there will always be some shake no matter how you brace yourself.
