Great Red Hibiscus

Hibiscus coccineus

Description:

A big red tropical looking flower. It has a big tall yellow stem coming from the center of the flower. At the tip it is covered with pollen.

Habitat:

Here in the U.S. Native to Hawaii. First discovered in China. Now you can get them in Tennessee, North Carolina, etc.

Notes:

They are big and pretty. They look like they would grow well in a tropical place near a beach somewhere.
