Hylopetes nigripes
This mammal is endemic to the island of Palawan and is rarely seen in the wild.
Thank you Dan. Yes, we were able to observe two individuals that night. But we eventually had to go as it was very late, and we had been shining our flashlights on them for about 30 minutes already which is not good as they are nocturnal animals.
A spectacular spotting! What a great find, you're very lucky! Were you able to observe it for a while?
