Description:

Photo take at -30 ft in a sand area next to a coral reef.This small guy about 4 cm long is completed camouflage on the sand very hard to see only when they move . This fish have both eyes on top of the left hand side of their heads. The eyes are raised up like small dishes, can move independent to any direction so they can cover almost 360°, incredible. They may be found as deep as 150 mt. Like all flounders, peacock flounders are masters of camouflage.

Habitat:

Inhabitant of the shallow sand and moody areas near to the coral reef find from Florida all the Caribbean sea, Central America to the North of Brazil.
