This is not a spider and therefore definitely not a spined micrathena (which don't look anything like this picture). This is the nymph of a leaf-footed bug. The nymphs look very different than the adults. Very beautiful bug!

I reviewed images of that species; and I'm not sure that I would agree... The insect that is in my image has 6 legs and 2 'feelers' or 'anteneas'.
