Eichhornia crassipes is a highly invasive floating aquatic plant. It is used as a medicinal plant or decorative. Also grows in water gardens and fountains, is the only specie of its genus strictly floating.

Habitat:

River Amazona (Brasil) and River de la Plata Basin, Argentina. South America.
