Angulate tortoise

Description:

The angulate tortoise is a species of tortoise found in dry areas and coastal scrub vegetation in South Africa. This tortoise in the only known member of the genus

Habitat:

A smallish tortoise that can usually be found in the Cape and southern Namibia. The tortoise prefers sandy coastal regions with bushveld and fynbos as the preferred habitat.

Notes:

They are shy and reserved, usually retreating into their shell at the first disturbance.
