This larva was hanging out in a pool of water on top of a lily pad. The head end is oriented to the right in each of the 3 shots. Any insight will be appreciated! :-) I am placing this in "Other" until I know more.

This may be a soldier fly larva, family Stratiomyidae. (Example: http://biosnaps.gaiaresources.com.au/bdr... )
