Description:

It was the largest butterfly Iv'e ever seen.The wingspan was about 8 in.This species is only endemic to the western ghats in India that makes a a unique species.

Habitat:

forests of the western ghats

Notes:

It comes closer to the ground early in the morning.mostly seen during monsoon.Also it was a female feeding of jasmine flowers.
