I survey for bats and catch big browns quite frequently. From this photo I can distinguish this as a big brown instead of a little brown by its long shiny hair and size. I would without a doubt call this a big brown, Eptesicus fuscus. The most common species found in homes in the Eastern US.

I found it at the bottom of my fireplace dead inside my home...I was removing it to take it outside.
