Giant Leaf-footed Bug

Acanthocephala granulosa

Habitat:

Shrubby thicket in grassland

Notes:

My pick for spotting # 800!!! This was absolutely massive, the largest insect I have ever seen. It had a very peculiar odor, apparently a type of defense. I can't wait to see what happens on Project Noah in times to come!
