Description:

I saw this beautiful forest lizard on a tree along the main hiking trail in Dhoni Forest Reserve. I think it is a Calotes species lizard, but cannot ID the exact species name. any help identifying the species is appreciated.

Mixed deciduous forest

You're welcome. I believe it is in the process of shedding its skin, hence the whitish color.

Thanks for the suggestion - the white colored band on its neck made me rule this out the first time.
