Huge tree fallen and split with chips of the tree all over the forest floor

Habitat:

Boundary area in Sequoia National Forest leading to Golden Trout Wilderness. Heavily forested with a few locations with human use areas. Several rivers/creeks and springs run throughout the area. Elevation between 6900 and 8000 ft
