Sea Spider

Description:

A type of crab walking along the edge of a barrel sponge. It was tiny, maybe less than a cm wide.

Habitat:

Coral Reef. Saw this at Bahura.

This is impressive.
The big ones like cold water, and deep.
Their body is so thin that the internal organs extend into the legs!
I've seen this only once.
A very nice find.

Thanks Albert. I only have vague memories of pychnogonids and never thought to look them up. 90 cm is impressive !

@Leuba, there are more than 1,000 known species of Sea Spiders.
Most are in deep waters.
Their sizes range from as tiny as 1 mm to 90 cm!
