Spotting

Description:

I don't photographed very whell, but it have a little red mark/line near the head. I was riding an apparatus for capturing bats and, while tying a rope around a tree, I felt something tickling me. At first, I thought it was some thorn or ant, but the pain started to increase. So, I found this caterpillar. When I find it, quickly applied clay in the burn to soften the effect. But, likewise, got a small burn scar on wrist.

Habitat:

I found this specimen on a tree on a local of an environmental reserve of the Atlantic Florest.

I'm no expert, but it looks like something from the Saturniidae family to me. (That doesn't narrow it down much, I'm afraid.) Very pretty caterpillar! Hope your wrist feels better.
