Congratulations Shah, your Sinai Agama has been chosen as our Spotting of the Day for World Lizard Day:
"Today August 14th is #WorldLizardDay! There are approximately 6,000 species of lizards worldwide. Lizards are found on every continent with the exception of Antarctica, in almost every type of habitat. They cover a broad range of sizes, from the tinniest of geckos to the enormous Komodo dragon. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species, many lizard species are endangered or critically endangered. Our Spotting of the Day is a remarkable Sinai Agama (Pseudotrapelus sinaitus), a long-limbed, long-tailed agamid lizard adapted to rocky habitats. Inconspicuously brown throughout much of the year, the male Sinai agama adopts vivid blue colors during the breeding season, which can sometimes extend over the entire head and body.
