He is a bird living at the local zoo, and used as 'bait' by the bird rescue association in order to help them catch and ring other owls.
Beautiful animal. I hope it being used as bait doesn't mean it gets injured, particularly by other territorial males, although I'm confident the bird rescue people would take the greatest of care.
No problem at all J! To be honest I have a problem with identifying birds, but I'm learning! :)
