Description:

Description: Sandy brown fur which is darker towards the spine. Body Length: About 81-103mm long and the tail is 71-95mm. Feeding: They feed on seeds, buds, fruits, small insects, worms, centipedes, snails and some fungi. Notes: Longer tail, ear and hind feet than a house mouse. Smaller than the yellow-necked mouse.

Hi David,

Choosing between the two is rather tricky!

I believe this is 'Apodemus sylvaticus' due to the eyes, ears and tail length appearing smaller than what I would expect for the yellow-necked mouse. There also wasn't a clear demarcation between the upper coat colour and the white parts below when I was observing. I wish I had a better photograph!
