Description:

Spotted Tambopata National Reserve (Reserva Nacional Tambopata) a nature reserve in the Peruvian Amazon Basin south of the Madre de Dios River. Tarantulas are a hairy and very large arachnid.

Habitat:

This tarantula was guarding her burrow at the base of a tree which had several baby tarantulas inside.
