Carolina Mantis, female

Stagmomantis carolina

Description:

Large insect with raptorial for legs that are used to capture prey. Should be called Preying Mantis. :P I'm not so good with these as they are not common in my range. They were everywhere in Missouri though.

Habitat:

Shaw Nature Reserve.
