Common Cattail

Typha latifolia

Description:

Saw these growing outside a hobby shop on a trip to Bartlesville, OK. Pretty cool. Also, the cattail genus has several more plants that I thought they had.

Habitat:

It is found as a native plant species in North and South America, Europe, Eurasia, and Africa.

Notes:

As someone from South Carolina, living in Kansas, seeing cattails in Oklahoma of all places weirds me out.
