A species of turtle in the family Testudinidae endemic to Africa

Habitat:

Inhabits savannahs and dry bush. Tends to inhabit more wooded areas during the dry season and moves to the grasslands when the summer rains come.

Notes:

This guy was definitely on the move. Summer rains have just started here in the low veld of Mpumalanga
