Grasshopper

PatrickWare, I think it depends on the species. Many grasshoppers can be identified by their coloration, body shape/size and patterning. There may be some species that are very similar and require a more specific examination.

I once read a book on locust and it said to make a positive id you have to examine the grasshopper's genitals.
