Pacific Gopher Snake

Description:

Gopher snakes are harmless non-venomous snakes. This one is base color light yellow-brown with brown markings. The slender head and body, plus box shaped markings on the dorsal side helps ID this from a rattlesnake. An adult can range from 5 to 7 feet. This young one was about a foot and a half.

Habitat:

This one was spotted at 2400ft elevation in temperature about 60degrees
