Hi Ryan, welcome to Project Noah! This beauty is a female Cow Killer (also known as Red Velvet Ant and Common Eastern Velvet Ant). Velvet Ants are actually a type of Wasp and can inflict a painful sting if provoked. They are really pretty. The females are wingless and the males have wings.
