Sphaerophoria scripta is a European species of hoverfly. Similar to wasps and bees, syrphids differ for having much shorter antennae and bigger eyes. From April to November.

Habitat:

Meadows, forest edges, gardens and cultivated fields. From the sea level to 1800 meters high. Spotted at Sierra de Guadarrama at 1400 meters high
