Did anybody read my comment? This might be a Domestic turkey that got away... There is a species of domestic turkey that looks very much like Wild Turkeys called Red Bronze.

Karen, it possibly could have. It was just standing there doing nothing, in the rain.

Not normal for a normally shy species like wild turkeys to stand in a parking lot, in broad daylight , in the rain. Did it perhaps get bumped by a car when trying to cross the road? Looks a bit dazed.

I thought it might have a broken wing

This is gonna sound weird but... This is a Female Wild Turkey who wants to breed, They go into this position when they want the tom to "mount" them. BTW, I raise Turkeys so I know.
