Description:

I think this is a male because his cap is more black than the grayer brown cap found on females. A beautiful bird and apparently they are fairly common although I don't think I've seen one before.

Habitat:

Deciduous and mixed-forests, generally prefers relatively open woods, often seen at bird feeders.
