I am unable to tell which species this is from your image, but I can tell you that this is actually a species of Orb Weaver, not a House Spider. It's a big family, but if you get a chance to see more of them in your area, I bet you can find out which species this is. http://bugguide.net/node/view/1972/bgpag...
