Jewel spider

araneus gemmoides

Description:

About the size of a quarter. This guys was pretty still until the last few photos. He is tan colored with black spots. Has a large body and very thin legs.

Habitat:

Found him in my girlfriends garage.

Notes:

This spider was not alone. There is at least half a dozen of these setup in this garage. Some small and some pretty big. The first few pics I think that black part is (was) a bug. Lol
