Hello Noah. Welcome to Project Noah! You are correct. This is a cricket, but there are many species (kinds) of crickets. If you tick the box that says "Help me ID this spotting" when you "edit" and if you leave the reference spaces blank, then when other users look at your spotting it will show that the species is not yet identified. If they see this is not yet identified, then maybe someone might suggest wish to make a species suggestion for the kind of cricket in your spotting.
