Nodding Bur-Marigold

Description:

Yellow flowers with yellow central area. Flowers about an inch to an inch and a half or so in size. Leave singular, long and pointed, usually two opposite from stem.

Habitat:

Flower is blooming throughout the refuge on marshy and dried pond areas. Conditions have been dry and so many ponds are marshy.

Notes:

Despite abundance, wildflower not in general regional wildflower books.
